The First Post

This is my first post to my brand new blog. At the moment the hot topic in Denver is the QB position. We have a lot of compition at the position and I think Denver fans have good reasons to be excited. We have Kyle Orton, Brady Quinn, Tom Brandstater and of corse Tim Tebow. It's hard to tell who is going to win the starting job but one thing for sure it will be the QB who Josh belives gives the team the best chance to win. Personally it is obvious with picking Tebow in the first round he is our future and if he can prove himself this summer in OTAs, trainng camp, and pre season then why not start him. I really like Kyle Orton he is a great guy and did a decent job last year but he is not the long term anwser. In regards to Quinn not sure what to think he didn't prove much in Cleveland but again it IS Cleveland! It may be best to trade Kyle Orton this summer and get some value from him while we can and let Tebow and Quinn duel it out for the starting job. The only other option I can think of is we keep Orton and cut Brandstater. Either way we are going to have to get rid of one of our QB four QB makes for a crowded depth chart.

  1. I think it'll come down to the defense anyway. Any one of those guys will probably do an OK job.

  2. I agree Dylan, someone is gonna have to go and my guess is either brandstater or quinn. Tebow is the future so don't rush him in. Take aaron rodgers for example, he sat behind behind some QB for 3 years and now look at him. He wouldn't be the QB he is today if it wasn't for that. I'm looking forward to seeing him on the field too but I don't want to see him tossed into the fire like Quinn was in cleveland

  4. I cant wait to see how Tebow turns out, but until he is ready I just hope McDaniels sticks with one QB the whole season and not switch the QB every other week like Cleveland did last year and what they might be doing this year as well.

  5. yes we don't need a QB circus this year. I think McDaniels will want stability at the position and know the QB is the natural leader of the offense. At the end of the day whoever proves themselfs as the best at the end of pre season should be named the starter (or whenever it's obvious who the front runner is.) Who knows who it is i've read articles claiming quinn one day orton the next and then a report of how fast Tebow is coming along. This pre season will be exciting to watch.
